Cibicue Creek (1881)
After Anglo-U.S. officials tried to arrest the Apache religious leader Nakaidoklini, fighting broke out and Nakaidoklini was killed in the struggle. Apache scouts rebelled against Anglo cavalry troops, and later went on to attack Fort Apache. This is the only recorded battle in which Apache scouts mutinied.
